The Eufy S1 Pro

If you're looking for a robot vacuum that also mops then this is the model to look for. It's smaller than the other options which makes it more maneuverable in tight corners or under furniture. It has a 220-degree lidar which, when paired with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it some of the most effective navigation and obstacle avoidance I've ever seen in a robot vacuum. It comes with a massive 4600mAh battery which lasts up to 170-minutes when mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it can run longer in turbo). It will even return to the dock to top up its battery midway through cleaning.

It's very fast and does a fantastic job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It cleans the carpeted rooms extremely quickly and the hardwood floors in the hallways, and living room in a single sweep. Its 8,000pa suction motor makes short work of picking up sand, dirt, and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically increases power when it detects carpets and the double side brush helps to remove debris from corners.

The mopping performance, while still impressive, isn't as impressive. The mop rotates at a high velocity and is pushed down with 2.2lbs of force, effortlessly scrubbing up dirt and staining. I've noticed that the front arm protrudes out a bit more than other robots. This is helpful in narrow corners or on baseboards. Those same front arms can also be used to clean larger pieces of debris, such as broken toys or books.

Another good thing is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuum cleaners uk vacuums and mops I've ever used. It is quieter and doesn't produce more noise when mopping or vacuuming. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it must utilize a specific mopping solution and is sold separately. It's easy to install and is effective, but this is something you'll have to keep an eye on in case you're purchasing this vacuum solely for the purpose of it mopping.

The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive in our review. It does however, have some unique features which are worth a look. The X1 Omni is notable for its massive dock that serves as an charging base for the robot, a sink for cleaning and two 4-liter water tanks. It also houses the 2.5-liter dust bin as well as the 2.5 liter dust bin.

The base also has a variety of buttons to control the system. These allow you to manually start cleaning and then recall the robot or use the dock's automatic vacuum and mop emptying process. Hold down two of the buttons to toggle a child lock that is a great feature for parents who are worried about their children playing with the vacuum.

Another potential downside is another issue is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically change between vacuuming and mopping modes during the cleaning process. You will need to manually swap between the two, which isn't too bad apart from the fact that mopping pads aren't washed and dried between use which could lead to mildew or mold.

On the bright side, the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who conceptualized its sleek, modern-looking base and mopping pad apparatus. It's a significant change from the utilitarian all-black bases used by competitors like Roborock and iRobot and is a refreshing sight in a space that is dominated by bulky boxy models.
