The Q5 and Q7 Max Series both scored extremely well in our tests on floors that were bare They are also adept at cleaning dog hair. However, they do have several flaws that prevent them from being our top choice. For one, the Q5's navigation system does not have AI-powered obstacle avoidance which means it's susceptible to get caught up in shoes and socks and can't navigate tightly packed rooms very well in our tests. Also, it doesn't have a camera that would let it see the corners of a room.

It's still a great option to consider, particularly if you're looking to save money on a Roomba from iRobot, and you have a bare-floored home or office. It's the most efficient robotic hoover for carpets but it's not as good as other hoovers in terms of deep cleaning.

It also has a less intuitive app and a small base station that can't be used as a bin for emptying.
