Some even wash and refill mopping pads themselves for a hands-free clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

This is the model to choose if you want an automatic vacuum cleaner (brfood.shop) that can also mop. It's smaller than the other models on this list, making it easier to navigate into tight corners and underneath furniture. It comes with a 220 degree Lidar that, combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, provides some of my favorite navigation and object avoidance capabilities I've seen in robot vacuums. It has a 4600mAh battery which can last up to 170 minutes if mopping and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can run longer when it is set to turbo). It will even return to the dock to top up its battery part way through a clean.

It's very quick and does an excellent job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted areas extremely quickly, and the hardwood floors in the living room, and hallways in a single sweep. Its 8,000pa suction motor will quickly pick up dirt, crumbs and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it comes in contact with carpets and the dual side brushes help draw out dirt from corners.

The mopping performance is a little less impressive, though not by a lot. The mop rotates quickly and uses 2.2lbs to remove dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arm sticks out a little more than other robots. This is helpful in difficult corners or on baseboards. The same front arms can be used to clean up larger debris, like broken toys and books.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mop and vacuums I've used. It doesn't create the same amount of noise when mopping or vacuuming, and is quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The only issue is that the S1 Pro must use a proprietary cleaning solution for mopping and is separate from the vacuum. It's simple to install and works well however this is something that you'll have to be aware of in case you're purchasing this vacuum solely for the purpose of it mopping.

The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is a two-in-one mop and vacuum. It is capable of vacuuming as well as mopping. It was able to capture the majority of hair that shed by our cats and even found its way into the nooks and crannys of our stairs while other robots struggled. It was fairly silent and also had a few lovely jingles to indicated when it was about to start or finished its work.

The app was too basic and you had to change the modules each time you changed between vacuuming and mopping. The app cannot store multiple maps. This could be a problem if your home has several floors. The Matrix Plus robot vacuums with mop is a great choice for those who want a smart device that can vacuum and mop.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robotic vacuum that is able to mop in our review, however it comes with some distinct features that are worth considering. The X1 Omni is most well-known for its enormous dock that doubles as a charging base for the robot, a cleaning sink and two water tanks of 4 liters. It also houses two bins: a 2.5-liter dust bin and a 2.5 liter dust bin.

The base also comes with a set of control buttons that let you manually start a cleaning job or recall the robot or start the dock's auto-emptying process. Hold down two buttons to toggle the child lock. This is a great feature for parents who are worried about their children playing with the vacuum.

Like other robotic vacuums, the X1 Omni uses its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path and avoid them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system will map your home 10 times faster than conventional laser detection systems and is four times more precise at recognising objects.

The X1 can be prone to get stuck if it gets entangled in a blockage like a power cable tangled over a rug. It will not work until you manually untangle it. This was a rare incident however it was frustrating since the X1 does not have a "stuck status" alert in its app.

Another possible issue is one of the biggest drawbacks is X1 Omni's inability to automatically change between vacuuming and mopping modes during cleaning. You'll need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't an issue aside from the fact that mopping pads haven't been cleaned and dried between uses which could lead to mildew or mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed the sleek modern, contemporary base and mopping pad. It's a significant contrast to the basic black bases of competitors like Roborock or iRobot. And it's an impressive sight in a market dominated by clunky boxes.
