It's smaller than the other models on this list, making it easier to navigate through tight corners and under furniture. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it has to use a mopping solution that is proprietary and is sold separately. It's simple to set up and works well however this is something you'll need to keep an eye on when you purchase this vacuum solely for the reason of mopping.

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that mops in our review, but it also has distinctive features that make it worth a look. The X1 Omni's most appealing feature is its enormous dock that serves as the robot's charging base as well as housing for two water tanks, a clean sink and a 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically emptys.

The base also comes with a set of control buttons that allow you to manually start a cleaning task and then recall the robot or use the dock's automatic emptying process. The X1 Omni isn't able to automatically switch from mopping mode to vacuuming mode during a cleaning session. You'll have to manually switch between the two, which isn't a big deal apart from the fact that mopping pads haven't been cleaned and dried between use which could lead to mildew or mold.

On the positive side it's worth noting that the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who conceptualized its modern, sleek base and mopping pad apparatus. It's a significant contrast to the utilitarian, all-black bases that are used by rivals like Roborock and iRobot and a pleasing appearance in a market which is dominated by clunky, boxy units.
