Throne and Liberty Gear Upgrades

Upgrading gear increases its base stats, and sometimes boosts its extras. The worth of these upgrades is determined by their tiers, requirements, and the amount of random enhancements applied.

The elite racial Shield Razortail, for example, is usually upgraded to improve its lightning absorption function in PvP and/or provide additional defenses to missile-based designs in the PvM. This makes it more exchangeable over the unupgraded version.

Reroll Tokens

Reroll tokens let you reroll a purchased item, such as a weapon, armor or ring. This swaps the current item for another similar item, with a different set of extra bonuses. Reroll tokens can be an efficient method of upgrading equipment. However, they do not retain the level of the original item and any resources that are wasted won't be compensated for.

The surviving players can acquire tokens to reroll in many ways, including the Mistery Box and rare drops from skulled creatures. You can also find them in crates and chests, or buy them at the market for $150 each. Reroll tokens can be used to alter the attributes of an item such as increasing the damage it can cause.

Players can roll their equipment using three aspects that include physical power, magical power, and health. Upgrades to physical power boost the damage caused by weapons and melee attack while upgrades to spell power upgrade mage attacks and the ring. Health upgrades give the player an additional level of health.

Three types of rerolls tokens are available: upgrade, rare and legendary. Each upgrade elevates the item to a better quality. To produce them, you'll need a higher-quality token to reroll. Upgrades require a standard item. Rare upgrades require an item that is either exclusive or legendary. Legendary upgrades require three legendary pieces.

The reroll marker, unlike other markers or tokens that are placed on action spaces, stays on the spot until the next Success is being rerolled. This allows you to save upgrades.

Blueprints appear in the form of envelopes at the beginning of each Preparation Phase, and can be opened by grabbing them using Interact. When they are opened, they show an explanation and icon for the Ingredient or Appliance. Blueprints can be exchanged for a new Appliance or Ingredient in the restaurant's shop for a small amount of money.

During the course of an event, blueprints may be transferred between the Staple Pool and the Non-staple pool due to selected Franchise Cards. This changes the kind of blueprints that a restaurant's shop offers for rerolls and which are available in the non-droppable Pool.

Growthstones

Weapons such as armor, weapons, and other accessories can be upgraded in Throne and Liberty using Growth Stones. These are special stones that can increase the level of an item by increasing its stats and abilities. Players can find these items by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs located in the major Item Upgrader Mod towns. They can also purchase them from Contract Coin Merchants for a cost. Additionally, players can acquire these stones by signing daily contracts.

To upgrade equipment players must first locate thean item upgrader mod (Sovren wrote in a blog post) with upgrade components at the Upgrade Station and paying a fee in Happy Stars or Happy Tickets. The upgrade materials will be consumed and the item will receive an upgraded level. This process can be repeated until the highest level for an item is reached.

Items with upgraded base stats will display an icon of blue in their slot. Unlike enchantments, however, upgrade components cannot be stacked with one another, and can only be added to a single item at one time. Additionally, each upgrade component will require a specific quantity of items to be used and an initial level for the equipment.

The Upgrade Station is divided into two slots. On the left side, players can choose to add an Best item upgrader to be upgraded. On the right, a preview shows what the gear will look like at its next level. Once players have enough materials and has pressed the yellow arrow will initiate the upgrade process.

A piece of equipment can be upgraded up to five times. Every time the item is upgraded, its stats will increase by a small amount. The maximum level for an item is 19.

When an item reaches its maximum level, its upgrades will not be available for it. Also, when an Best item upgrader is on an upgrade track (e.g. Veteran or Explorer) upgrades for that track will have a discount.

Upgrade components are a kind of equipment that can be inserted into weapons, armors, trinkets and gathering tools to provide an additional effect or benefit while the equipment is being used. They can be purchased from vendors, looted, or obtained through questing. They can also be traded between players. Upgrade components can be swapped by acquiring new ones. However, this could destroy the old upgrade items.

Requirements

Item upgrades give players the ability to boost certain attributes of armor and weapons that they currently have. The requirements to upgrade an item vary depending on the type of item however, generally you'll require Dilithium and a variety of Upgrade Tokens (various options are available).

Item upgrade components can be used to make set pieces and weapons for added effects or a higher level of the item. These upgrades can be obtained from many sources, including crafting, buying from the Trading Post, karma vendors or looting from raids and bosses. Once an upgrade element is placed in an item it isn't able to be removed or substituted without restriction, however glyphs placed in gathering tools can be swapped without limitation.

Upgrades can increase the Mark Level or Rarity. In addition, some upgrade components come with additional modifiers that could further enhance the stats of the item.

For example, the helm upgrade "Foundation of the Sun" increases base defense, and gives an additional 20% chance to block. In addition the dps upgrade "Wildfire" boosts weapon damage.

Upgrades can be beneficial to certain items, but not because they increase stats. They are more valuable to players when they get the perfect roll. For example, a perfect-rolled 200/6 504 armor set piece is highly sought-after in the melee PvP community and could be worth 20-50x the non-upp'd version.

When you choose an upgrade component to slot into an item the game will display an in-game window that lists the necessary requirements. This includes the type of item (either weapon or armor) and the tier of that item, the Upgrade Token required, and the amount of progress needed to complete the upgrade.

The game will add an item in your inventory after you've completed the prerequisites for an upgrade. The progress bar will then update to show how close to finishing the upgrade. You can also check the status of an item upgrade by visiting any NPC that upgrades items.
