Robots that vacuum and clean offer the convenience of cleaning dry and wet messes in one session and without the need to switch between devices. They can also help save storage space compared to having two separate units, especially in smaller living spaces.

A good combination bot will be able to navigate well and have excellent obstacles avoidance. Look for models that have docks that let them automatically empty their bins, refill their water tanks and wash the mopping pads.

1. Eufy S1 Pro

It has plenty to offer for its relatively affordable price, and it's one of the most simple robots we've tested to install. Unpacking is simple, and the quick-start guide can get you running in no time with an entire dust bag, water tank and hard floor solution.

The S1 Pro is a powerful small machine that can is able to clean up a storm and also vacuums well. The mops spin at high speed and use 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to quickly get rid of pet hair, dirt and sticky dried spills. The vacuum cleaner comes with four power settings, a range of attachments and brushes and an intuitive app which lets you select the type of cleaning you'd like to do for each room.

The only issue it has is that it tends to hit objects and walls at full speed - but just a glance at the cleaning history in the app will tell you exactly what it's doing and where it's headed and what obstacles it's avoided.

A convenient LCD screen on the docking station tells the maintenance tasks that are required including emptying the debris tray and rinsing its dirty water tank. It also mixes detergent into the water tank by itself by using a 600ml eufy solution.

Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop have plenty of run-time, with the mop capable of running for up to 184 minutes in quiet mode, while the vacuum is able to do 136 minutes in normal mode before having to recharge or return to the base to replenish. The app is easy to use and intuitive, allowing you to see all the details of the cleaning.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the latest version of Roborock's flagship robot vacuum and mop, is the newest version. The model of this year features a double agitator built into its mopping pad. This increases the carpet cleaning capabilities of this model. The S8 Pro Ultra has an enhanced suction power that enables it to remove finer hairs and other debris other robotic cleaners could miss.

As with the two other Roborock models I've tried the S8 Pro Ultra has a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology which helps to avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles. But the S8 Pro Ultra takes things one step further by incorporating a dual camera that can detect objects and determine whether they're an object that is a wall or a different surface. It then can automatically alter its path and clean them without skipping a beat.
The X40 is the first robotic vacuum cleaner to deliver 12,000 Pascals of cleaning power, which makes it one of the top alternatives available. This powerful vacuum is able to clean up pet hair dust, crumbs and any other dry mess. It also comes with a high-quality mop that leaves hard floors sparkling clean, even without a wet pad. The X40 is also extremely quiet when in operation with only occasional bursts during modes changes or self-maintenance.

The X40 also comes with a side brush that can be extended and lifted. This allows it to reach into corners that are difficult to reach and clean furniture with curved edges such as table and chair legs. It also lets the robot to reach under low-profile furniture making it an ideal option for apartments or condos with tight spaces. The side brush tilts automatically down when it detects wet spots. This is a great feature that helps the X40 to prevent damage to floors from excessive back-and forth movements.

Unlike other robots, which are limited to one task, the X40 can mop and vacuum at the same time. It can be programmed to mop only the hard floors and skip carpeted areas, and vice versa. It can be controlled through the Dreame app or with Alexa, Siri, and Google Home to ensure a smooth voice-controlled operation.

The app is easy to use and intuitive, and the X40 comes with a variety of smart features that are simple to configure. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, adjust suction power and mode, look at mapping and floor plans and manage mopping settings. The X40 will also track its progress, and alert you when it is finished.

The X40 is easy to keep clean and has many features which make it a good choice for busy families. The docking station automatically empty the dustbin into a huge 3.2 L bin, robot vacuum and mop cleans the mop pads, then refills them with clean water and a cleaning solution. 4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models available on the market. However, it has several characteristics that make it stand out. Its mops have a new feature called Smart DuoScrub that makes use of two mops with high-speed motors to scrub floors more thoroughly than the traditional method, and it has the highest suction power of 7,000Pa. This is higher than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also vacuum up pet hair, small dirt particles and remove spills and dirt-stained spots.

The mops are also cleaned and dried inside the base station after each use. This is a great feature since it prevents the build-up of mould and unpleasant odours in storage, and it also makes the mop system a lot more efficient. This is a feature we haven't seen in other robot mop and vacuum models. It could be a great method to keep your home clean longer.

There are plenty of options, including the option to schedule cleanings and adjust preferences. The app allows you to set these preferences or robot vacuum and mop you can make use of the buttons on the device itself. They can even reach down to 2mm baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature, which is a nice addition.
