They are equipped with impressive mapping capabilities and obstacle avoidance capabilities, and they can even wash and refill their own mopping pads for a hands-off clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

This is the model you should pick if you are looking for an automatic vacuum cleaner that can also mop. It's smaller than the other options, making it easier to maneuver in tight corners or under furniture. It has a 220-degree lidar that combined with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it the best navigation and obstacle avoidance I've ever seen in a robot vacuum. It packs a powerful 4600mAh battery that lasts for [Redirect-302] up to 170-minutes if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it is able to run longer in turbo). It will even return to its dock to replenish its battery during the cleaning.

It's fast and does a fantastic job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It can vacuum carpeted rooms fast and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room and hallways with only one sweep. Its 8,000pa suction motor will quickly pick up dirt, crumbs, and pet hair. Carpet detection increases power automatically when it comes in contact with carpets and the dual side brushes help to tease away debris from corners.

The mopping performance, though still impressive, is not as impressive. The mop rotates quickly and uses 2.2lbs to clean dirt and stain. I've noticed that the front arm sticks out a bit more than other robots. This is useful when you're trying to get into tight corners or on baseboards. The front arms can also be used to collect larger objects such as books and toys that have been damaged.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mop and vacuums I've used. It doesn't produce as loud of a sound when mopping or vacuuming, and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The only drawback is that the S1 Pro must use a specific cleaning solution to perform mopping, and is sold separately from the vacuum. It's easy to install and is effective, but it's something you'll need to be aware of if you're buying this robot vacuum for the sole purpose of it mopping.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is a 2-in-1 vacuum and mop. It is capable of vacuuming as well as mopping. The robot has two modules: a dry bin and water reservoir and a separate mopping unit with a microfiber pad that snaps into and out of position. Separate modules for mopping and vacuuming might seem a bit outdated but they're a good thing because you don't have to worry about changing disposable bags or refilling the water tank.

Our test participants discovered that the Matrix Plus did a great job of vacuuming as well as mopping. Its most impressive feature is its accurate floorplan map, which it utilizes when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate between rugs, furniture, and other obstacles. The app lets you create 'No-Go Zones' or virtual barriers to prevent certain areas from being cleaned by a mop.

The app can't store multiple maps, which could be a pain if you have a home with a mix of floors. The Matrix Plus is a good option for those who want a smart robot that is capable of mopping and vacuuming.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robotic vacuum that is able to mop in our review, however it also has unique features that are worth a look. The X1 Omni is notable for its massive dock that doubles as a charging base for the robot vacuums that mop, a cleaning sink and two water tanks that are 4 liters in size. It also houses the 2.5-liter dust bin as well as the 2.5 liter dust bin.

The base has a couple of buttons for control that let you manually begin a cleaning task, recall the robot vacuums that mop or run the dock’s auto-emptying procedure. Hold down two buttons to switch off the child lock. This is a nice feature for parents worried about their children playing with the vacuum.

Similar to other robotic vacuums, the X1 Omni uses its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path and eliminate them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system will map your home 10 times faster than standard laser detection systems and is four times more accurate in recognizing objects.

Unfortunately this means that the X1 Omni will sometimes get so entangled with an obstacle--such as the power cord that is draped across a rug--that it becomes stuck and ceases to function until you remove it manually. Although this is not a common occurrence but it was a very frustrating experience when it happened and especially because the X1 Omni doesn't come with an "stuck" status alert on its application.

Another issue that could be a problem is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming modes during the cleaning process. You will have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't that bad but the mopping pad isn't cleaned or dried between uses. This could lead to mildew and mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed the sleek modern, contemporary base and mopping pad. It's a major change from the utilitarian all-black bases used by competitors like Roborock and iRobot, and a welcome sight in a space which is dominated by clunky, boxy units.
