This item upgrader kit is a scarce one but you can obtain it by spinning Photo Discs at PokeStops or Gyms.

It is equipped with upgrades that limit the extent to which an item can be upgraded.

Upgrade components

Upgrade components can be inserted into armor, weapons trinkets, tools for gathering and weapons to provide an attribute bonus or extra effect while the equipment is being used. They can be obtained through crafting, purchased from vendors or on the trading post, looted or acquired as rewards. Some upgrades can have additional cosmetic effects.
